This brand-new trio undermines the boundaries between free improvisation and composition. On its forays, it shamelessly poaches in the genre garden, like a hyperactive mole in its prime. In doing so, the trio manages the feat of performing a balancing act between dissonant clusters, harmonious melodies, groove, and the dissolution of the very same.

The two Berliners in the group – drummer Sofia Borges and saxophonist Alexander Beierbach – as well as Potsdam pianist Nicolas Schulze are all active in various ensembles and, in this line-up, add another important coordinate to the map of jazz in Germany.
